The Little Yellow Cottage on Laurens rests comfortably in Aiken, S.C.,
America’s polo capital. Inside, a team of stylists, massage therapists,
manicurists, pedicurists and a skincare specialist host a house full of
clients, thanks to the solid and growing reputation of PowerCuts Salon
and Spa. A beloved downtown business, it captures the vibe of this bustling
city with its dusty red-clay roads and one-way streets.
When the historic home went up for sale, founder Sara Power Barber knew
she could turn its plaster walls, wooden floors and fireplaces into a
comfortable, chic spa experience perfect for women but not too girly for
guys. Click here to read what clients
have to say.
PowerCuts opened in 1997 as a full-service salon with two styling chairs and one employee. Seven years later, the business moved across the street to its new digs, where a spa was launched inside the Little Yellow Cottage with the claw-foot tub.
PowerCuts Salon and Spa proudly supports the Aiken
Downtown Development Association and the Aiken
Chamber of Commerce.
